Halloween







If you don't know, Riley LOVES ladybugs. Everytime she sees one she has to make sure it is safe and taken care of. Same goes for caterpillars. It was only fitting that she was a ladybug for Halloween. I asked her two months ago what she wanted to be for Halloween and she instantly know that she wanted to be a ladybug. She loved trick or treating this year. Her preschool teacher lives in our neighborhood so the first house we stopped at was hers. After Riley was given the candy, she proceeded inside her house and sat at the dining room table to eat the candy. This was the routine pretty much the whole night. Saying trick or treat, getting the candy, and then trying to walk into every neighbors house to eat it. Now that I think about it, she did the same thing last year too. Everytime she would go up to a house she would think she was going in to play and ended up in tears walking to the next house only to be disappointed again! At least there were no tears this year!

I can't believe the summer is almost over! I guess that's what happens when your child starts to be on the school calendar. Riley's last day of preschool was quite emotional as I cried all the way home after going to her end of the year party. Her teacher was so fabulous this year and at the party she read the book "The Oak inside the Acorn" by Max Lucado. Such a great book and most of the moms were crying by the end of it, but I fought through it until I got to the car! I know "Bubs" and "Haydes" (Riley's nicknames for Brady and Hayden) are going to miss having Riley around all day (and so will I), but here are some pics of our fun summer.
